Outline of Annual Research Achievements

”各種拡散MRIの脳変性疾患への応用：マッピングから新たなバイオマーカの創出へ”ということで、拡散テンソル画像のみならず、diffusional kurtosis imaging (DKI), Q space imaging (QSI)などの拡散MRIを、特発性正常圧水頭症、パーキンソン病、アルツハイマー病患者などに行い、そのデータを種々の方法で解析し、拡散MRIの定量値であるADC, FA, Mean diffusional kurtosis(MDK), radial/axial kurtosis, Q space imaging (QSI)とその応用のaxonal diameter, などの疾患特異的な部位と値について検討した。
全脳を2-3mmほどのボクセルサイズで撮像し、画像統計解析を行うことで、既存の障害部位のほか、いままで知られていなかった脳変性疾患における異常部位が見いだされたのみならず、拡散MRIを詳細に解析することにより、異常部位における微細構造の変化などの病態における変化を初めて報告した。
パーキンソン病では、黒質ー基底核の回路異常やそれらの症状との対比をDKI等でおこなった(Kamagata K,..., Aoki S. Neuroradiology 2014)。特発性正常圧水頭症では、皮質脊髄路についてDKI（Nakanishi A, ..., Aoki S. Neuroradiology 2013)やQSI(Kamiya K, ..., Aoki S. PLoS One 2014), Axonal diameter(Hori M, ..., Aoki S. Dur Radiol 2016)の解析を行い、その部位における白質の微細構造変化を初めて報告し、その部位の計測がバイオマーカとして有用な可能性を示唆した。
