Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research aims at the development of a new type image hump utilizing the illusion effect.The research team is a member organization that combines psychology, traffic engineering, landscape design research fields. In this research, research and development, construction, and running experiment verification of three types of image humps were carried out. On the other hand, research and development as a speed control system in the bicycle path was also conducted, construction and running experiment verification were carried out. These research results will be utilized as a roundabout transportation system to be introduced in the future. We also believe that symbol signs and guidance sign systems within roundabout circles will be utilized as well.
