Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は、「地下水中に放出された放射性核種がどのような拡散挙動をとるのか」、40年余にわたり観測が続けられたロシア・マヤーク地方を対象に、【1】水中に多量に存在するナノ粒子や微生物粒子が果たす役割を明らかにし、【2】その機能をシミュレーションモデルに組み込むことを目的とした.
各課題について;【1】①現場環境での脱窒活性の推定.成果は、Possible microbial function in groundwater, K. Kato et al.として出版予定書籍Behavior of Radionuclides in the Environment I Mayak, Springer-Nature (契約番号Nr.59819) に収録する. ②優占細菌による放射性元素の吸着現象の解明. 成果は、雑誌論文2として発表.また平成28年度の成果として雑誌論文Furuki et al. Scientific Reports, 7:42731(2017) 等を発表.③希土類元素(REE)をアクチノイド類のアナログとした細菌粒子の関与の推定.成果は平成27年度活動報告にある通りすでにTakahashi et al. Geochemical J. 49:653-674(2015) として発表. ④ナノ粒子-放射性核種作用系を原子レベルでの解析. 成果は雑誌論文3や4、5として発表済み.【2】GETFLOWSによる地層中での放射性核種の拡散に関するシミュレーションモデルの構築.これについては地質情報などの入手になお難航したが、加藤が平成29年12月にモスクワ連邦大学へ出向き、現地ロシア語出版物から有用なデータを取得、解析を進めた. モデルは20年後の放射性物質の拡散についても予想し、上記出版物に論文掲載の予定. なお雑誌論文1の知見がモデルに生かされた.
