Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to preserve endangered animal species inhabiting hotspots in Asia / Africa area, it has been elucidated that reproductive physiology of these endangered species in Japanese zoos; elephant, rhinoceros and cheetah etc. and it was tried to be applied for breeding. As a result of these studies, it was clarified that the difference of breeding style by species, the difference of excreted steroid hormone metabolites in feces and urine and the method of superovulation treatment and pregnancy diagnosis in canine and felidae.
