Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of this study is that examination whether excessive immunological reaction, including NETs (Neutrophil Extracellular Traps) make the damage to host and patients although these regularly could control the infectious pathogens. We reported these possible cases including severe influenza-related pneumonia, and analyzed mice models of sepsis and influenza infection. In addition, we investigated the diagnosis method including biomarkers (eg. procalcitonin) in clinical fields.
