| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
まず、前頭側頭葉変性症（frontotemporal lobar degeneration：FTLD）に関連した臨床病理学的研究として、舞踏様症状を呈したFUS-FTLDの3症例について論文報告を行った。舞踏様症状を呈する疾患はハンチントン病などだけでなくFUS-FTLDにおいても同様の症状を呈することがあることを明らかにした。
さらに、FTLDの原因疾患として知られる進行性核上性麻痺(progressive supranuclear palsy; PSP)27例と大脳皮質基底核変性症(corticobasal degeneration; CBD)16例を対象とした精神症状についての調査報告を行った。その結果、PSPではアパシー、うつ、易怒・易刺激性、睡眠障害、脱抑制などが、CBDではうつ、人格変化・行動の障害、不安、易怒・易刺激性、アパシーなどがみられる傾向であった。また、病理診断の確定したCBD9例について後方視的に行った精神症状の調査では、臨床診断と病理診断の一致率が極めて低く、臨床症状は前頭葉機能障害が顕著な場合が多いことが分かった。
その他、tangle-predominant dementiaの精神医学的特徴についてまとめ学会報告を行った。また、FTLD様の症状を呈した抗NMDA受容体抗体陽性神疾患患者および神経ベーチェット病患者について精神医学的・神経心理学的評価を行いまとめ、それぞれ学会報告を行った。さらに、抗NMDA受容体抗体陽性であったレビー小体型認知症の症例についても論文報告及び学会報告を行った。

Reason
研究の対象がFTLDに関連した疾患であるハンチントン病、進行性核上性麻痺、大脳皮質基底核変性症、抗NMDA受容体抗体陽性神疾患なども含め、当初の予定よりやや広くなっているが、これは意欲的に取り組んだ結果である。これらの研究について論文発表や学会報告ができている。

前述の学会発表を行った研究や症例報告について国内外の論文に投稿する予定である。
また、FTLD剖検脳について免疫組織化学などを行い病理学的検討を進めていく予定である。

| Causes of Carryover |
国際学会に参加することを取りやめたため、次年度繰越金が432,414円生じたが、そのこと以外はほぼ計画通り使用している。

| Expenditure Plan for Carryover Budget |
次年度の学会発表や論文作成に必要な費用、試薬や免疫組織化学に必要な抗体などの費用に用いる予定である。
