Outline of Annual Research Achievements

平成28年度はまず,研究室レベルで簡易的に,温度・ガス雰囲気制御下で粉末X線回折測定を行うためのシステムの設計・構築を行った.完成したシステムを用いることで,これまで放射光施設まで出向して測定を行っていたガス雰囲気下における化合物の構造解析を,より効率的に行うことが可能となった.
前年度までの結果を基とした新たな展開として,選択的に一酸化窒素(NO)を吸着する一次元鎖状錯体[{Ru2(4-Cl-2-MeOPhCO2)4}(phz)](Comp-0)に対し,より高い電子供与能を持つルテニウムユニット[Ru2(2-MeOPhCO2)4]をドープすることにより,NO吸着能の制御・向上を試みた.後者のルテニウムユニットからなる一次元鎖[{Ru2(2-MeOPhCO2)4}(phz)](Comp-1)は,ガス吸着能を持たない事を一昨年に報告しているが, 50%程度まではガス吸着能を保ったまま,[Ru2(2-MeOPhCO2)4]ユニットをComp-0にドープ出来ることが分かった.また,ドープの結果,NO吸着量の増大が観測された.ルテニウムユニットでは,架橋カルボン酸を変えることによりユニットの電子供与能を自在に制御する事が可能であるが,これらのユニットを用いて得られた集積体が,気体分子との相互作用を得る上で適した構造になるとは限らない.しかしながら,本研究の”固溶体アプローチ法”を用いることにより,より柔軟に,吸着選択機能性の設計が実現可能であることが示された.
これまでの研究を通して,当初のターゲットであった鎖状錯体に限らず,興味深い構造や物性(磁気相転移・中性-イオン性転移・電荷秩序状態など)と多孔性(~ ガス吸蔵能)を併せ持つ化合物が見いだされており,この先に繋がる成果が得られた.
