Outline of Final Research Achievements

For the purpose of investigating measure to prevent nurse turnover, we conduct a research clarifying the relationship between turnover and job factors in effort-reward imbalance (ERI) model, stress related factors, social support and social capital at the workplace. We found that a significant correlation between turnover and ERI or psychological distress and a significant negative correlation between turnover and social capital or social support at the workplace.
These results suggest that the management of raising social capital and social support and working style enhancing job satisfaction is important to prevent nurse turnover.
