| Research Abstract |
1.トリスタンによる電子・陽電子衝突実験トリスタンでの実験は、昭和61年11月に最初の電子・陽電子衝突を観測し昭和62年1月〜2月に物理実験が行われ、バーバー散乱、ハドロンジェット等の事象が確認された。61年11月にVIENUS検出器が作動し、その後、EMY、TOPPARZもロールインされ、3大検出器が作動してデータを取得する段階に入った。
2.CDFによる陽子・反陽子実験テバトロンを用いた陽子・反陽子実験は昭和62年1月より重心系エネルギー1800GeVで開始され、加速器のルミノシティも、3月までに、5×【10^(28)】【cm^(-2)】【sec^(-1)】に増加した。これにより、ミニマム・バイアスや、ジェット事象などが、【10^5】イベント程度取得され、実験はなお継続中である。
3.ハドロンコライダーによる物理の検討テバトロンおよびSSCにおいてどのような物理が研究できるか、SSCで有効な物理をするためにどのような検出器が最適であるかを検討するのが本研究の主題であり、このテーマにつき作業会を行なった。a.スノーマス研究会 米国で行われたSSC研究会に出席し、SSCでの検出器、実験装置につき検討した。特に、飛跡検出器、カロリメーター、μ粒子検出器等の実験装置を、新粒子探索の見地から検討し、【10^(33)】【cm^(-2)】【sec^(-1)】の高ルミノシティで実験を行うための諸問題、その解決法など、シミュレーション解析等の手段を用いて調べた。b.昭和62年1月と2月に作業会を開き、ハドロン・コライダーで期待される物理、SSC検出器につき検討した。標準理論の検証(ヒッグス、ゲージ、ゲージ結合)と標準理論を超える理論の現象論、検出器、データ取得と解析法などにつき検討した。
