Research Abstract

これまで9回の月例研究会を開き, 情報ネットワークのトラッフィク問題に関して全般的なサーベイを行い, ネットワークの個別ノードのモデルや, ネットワーク評価手法について各自の研究成果を含めて発表し討議した.
ISDNやLAN等で知られているように, 情報ネットワークでは音声やデータ, 画像などのように質の異なる通信が統合されるので, そのトラフィックを評価するためのモデルや, 通信プロトコルのトラフィックに与える影響を調べるモデル等について主として議論した. 具体的には, 音声パケットの多重化装置のトラフィック解析, 2元トラフィック・モデル, 回線・パケット統合モデル, 優先権付き待ち行列網の近似解法に関する研究などが発表された. また, これらのモデルの基礎となる待ち行列の理論や近似解法についても数多くの発表がなされ, 検討された.
63年1月25日〜27日の3日間に亘って, シンポジウムを開いた. 出席者は57名, 発表件数29件. その内容については現在報文集としてまとめている(3月中旬刷り上がりの予定). このシンポジウムでは, 上記のような話題に加えて, 待ち行列ネットワークの近似解析方法に関する工夫がいくつか提案された.
この他, 分担者や研究会のメンバーがローマでの計算機・通信システム等に関する第2回国際ワークショップや第11回国際OQ会議等で, その成果を発表している.
