| Research Abstract |
1.高密度プラズマの結晶化現象を予知する簡明な解析理論を発達させるという見地から, まず研究を進めた. ガウス固体模型を密度汎関数理論に応用し, 変分原理により状態方程式を定めた. その際, 密度ゆらぎについて低次の平均場的成分のみならず, 高次の角度相関が関与する項について詳細に検討した. これらの結果を総合し, 高密度プラズマ固化の条件ついて解析的に簡明な取り扱い法を導きだした. この方法は, 多種イオンプラズマの固化を解析するにあたり有用である.
2.改良されたhypernetted chain近似法を, 炭素-酸素混合系に応用し, 熱力学関数を計算した. 相図の決定にあたって, 混合系の熱力学関数には重ね合せの原理が精度よく成り立つことを確かめた.
3.白色矮星内の高密度炭素-酸素物質の固化転移を, 解析理論的にまたモンテカルロ・シミュレーション法を用いて, 詳しく研究した. 相図として紡錘(spindle)型, 共晶型(eutectic)型, 共沸(azeotropic)型の可能性が示され, 白色矮星の冷却率や超新星爆発過程での意味づけが論じられた.
