Research Abstract

循環呼吸力学:心筋の酸素需要、血流の流れ分布、肺呼吸の流れとガス拡散、肺胞界面活性剤の特性などの解析や、流速測定センサ-の開発などが行われた。人工臓器力学:補助心臓の力学的評価、人工血管の開発、人工弁の特性などの検討がなされ、歳差式のポンプの詳細な検討が進展した。軟硬組織力学:膝関節の靱帯の力学、骨の形成、人工関節の摩擦や摩耗、潤滑の研究の他、組織の成長と萎縮の数理モデルを得る努力がなされた。生体系動態力学:可崩壊管の動態解析、血液粘性とヘマトクリットの関係分析、間欠流における乱流解析などが取り上げられた。これらにより、連続体力学の見直しや、機能的適応の力学的取扱などにある程度の見直しをえた他、人工臓器開発における力学的検討の重要性を指摘し、気液流の力学に新しい知見を加えることができた。
2.細胞微細組織力学:血管内皮細胞が動脈硬化との関連で精力的に研究された。細胞の粘弾性測定が行われ、内皮細胞のせん断応力に対する反応などが明らかにされた。血栓形成に対するせん断力の影響も調べられた。
3.国会研究集会として、33回材料研究連合講演会、日本機械学会67期全国大会、4回日本ME学会秋季大会などのオ-ガナイズドセッションの企画運営に参加した。1回バイオエンジニアリング学術講演会(平1・8・22、東京)、1回バイオエンジニアリングシンポジウム(平2・1・22、23、仙台)の開催に協力した。また、その都度、本研究の連絡会議を開催し、研究の進展を図った。国際集会として、ASME WAM89(1989・12・10-15、サンフランシスコ)において、Tissue Engineeringのセッションを合同開催した。今後開かれるものとして、上海-大阪BMEシンポジュウム(平2・6)、1回バイオメカニクス世界会議(平2・8-9)の開催準備にわが国の代表として中心的役割を果たした。なお、本課題と同名の重点領域研究計画を策定し申請した。
