Research Abstract |
This paper discusses the results of a study of the polishing characteristics of three types of magnetic abrasives(Type A,B and C). The following results were obtained. (1) The polishing characteristics of the magnetic abrasives are considerably different from each other. (2) The effectiveness of polishing fluid depends on the type of magnetic abrasive. (3) New Type C magnetic abrasives, which consist of ferromagnetic substances covered with wax and abrasive particles, can be used for mirror polishing
