Research Abstract |
The influence of biomaterials Implsntation on born healing prosess in the mandibular of six adult dogs' was histopathologically investigatied. The six dogs were used for exprimental animal. Implantation was done in the mandibular premoral and the first moral regions about 12 weeks after tooth extraction. The specimens were evaluated histologically using a light microscope, electro microscope and examined with a electron probe micro analisis (EPMA) . Histological findings demonstrated that ; (1) In the group of bioactiv glass, well stained cell and globules appeared around the material surface at 3 days, At 7 days thin woven bone along the material and old lamellar bone was seen and around them a large amount of cell proliferrtion was also observed. (2) In the group of Titanium, newly formed woven bone which was partially in contact with the material appeared on old lamellar bone and in bone marrow at 7 days. Although newly formed trabecular bone had further matured by 28 days, there was intervending fibrous layr between a large part of trabecular bone and the material.
