Research Abstract

紀元前1千年紀の東北アジアを考える上で鍵となる、青銅器の拡散と各地での反応というトピックについて、2009年6月に韓国学の一流誌であるThe Review of Korean StudiesにNew Interpretation of the Stone Replicas in the Maritime Province, Russia : A Re-Evaluation from the Perspective of Korean Archaeologyと題した論文を日・露・韓の研究者の連名によって、英語で発表した。この論文は、ロシアでは沿海州にみられる武器形の石器をシベリアの青銅器の模倣品と見なすことで年代を古くとらえ、それによって「青銅器時代」自体の年代も周辺地域と比べて著しく古くなっている点を、中国や朝鮮半島の資料を用いて批判し、代案を提示するものである。ロシアの研究者は日本語で書かれた論文を読むことがほとんどないため、英語で発表したことで一定の成果を期待できるものと確信する。さらに、8月にはロシアのウラジオストクに所在するアルセーニエフ記念郷土誌博物館にて、60点あまりの石器資料を実測・写真撮影する調査を行った。これらの資料を製図・編集したカタログの作成が課題として残っている。
紀元前1千年紀の東北アジアひいては弥生文化の成立を考える上でもう一つの重要な問題は、農耕の拡散の問題である。これについては先行研究を詳細に振り返った上で一つ一つの証拠を点検し、新たな見解を提示した文章「東北アジアの先史農耕と弥生農耕-朝鮮半島を中心として-」を最新の弥生時代の研究書シリーズ本の一部として出版した。予定よりも半年強早く研究期間を繰り上げる形になったため、各論として積み上げてきた成果の総合化が大きな課題として残っている。
