Research Abstract |
1. DNA samples from 92 healthy Japanese and 92 Japanese cedar pollinosis patients were studied. The healthy controls used in this study did not have anti-cedar-pollen , anti-Dactylis pollen, anti-Artemisia pollen, nor anti-mite antibody. Cedar-pollinosis patients had only anti-cedar-pollen antibody. 2. In HLA region, 150 SNPs were tested. Twenty-three SNPs of them were not detected polymorphism, and 28 SNPs of them were detected polimorphism less than 10% showing the ethnic difference between Caucasian and Japanese. Another 99 SNPs showed polimorphism more than 10 %. 3. The SNPs datas were analyzed for the association of SNPs and cedar pollinosis. One region with strong association was found, and the chi-square value was 11, P value was 0.001. And Odds ratio was 5. 4. The DNA samples were also studied for the Killer-Immunoglobulin like Receptor (KIR) gene polymophism. In this point, no significant association of KIR gene polymorphism and cedar pollinosis was found.
