| Research Abstract |
In the Heisei 15 fiscal year, I studied "the Diary of Sazanami Iwaya, 1899", "Notebook of Sazanami Iwaya, 1899", and "Haiku poem note of Sazanami Iwaya, 1899". "A Reprint of the Material for Sazanami Iwaya His Notebook, 1899" was printed in Studies in Language and Literature vol.4 published by the Shirayuri Research Center for Language and Literature. "The Diary of Sazanami Iwaya, 1899: Its Reprint and Annotations" will be printed in Studies of Research Center for Children's Literrature and Culture IX published by Research Center for Children's Literature and Culture, Shirayuri College. I want to try to be able to announce during the Heisei 16 fiscal year also about a "Haiku poem note of Sazanami Iwaya, 1899". Sazanami Iwaya of this year, 1899 was 30 years old, started the publication of World Children's Stories Series from the Hakubunkan (the publisher) in January. And in October, he traveled with his wife Yuko in the Minakuchi-cho Yamamura family, or the direction of Keihan. While clarifying the facts of Sazanami Iwaya as the first reprint of the diary text, I also studied the situation of the same period by its annotations.
I have collected and arranged of the data for continuous research as much, as possible following the preceding year. 1)By introducing the newest personal computer, I was able to make an efficient reference of the "Diary" which already reprinted and was electronic-file-ized. 2)A field survey and visual records are also indispensable to notes of the diary. For example, I checked and recorded the graves of Iwaya family in the current fiscal year in the Hojo temple of the Kyoto Ryozen. 3) Some books and magazines related on Sazanami Iwaya were collected. These are utilized as fundamental data of the "Diary" of not only the current fiscal year but future.
