Outline of Final Research Achievements

We identified several brain regions that are implicated in the emergence of cataplexy-like episodes in orexin/ataxin-3 mice, a rodent model of narcolepsy. Optogenetic excitation with specific stimulating conditions evoke cataplexy in these mice.
