Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Peer-to-peer (P2P) system model enables network computers to behave some roles according to various situations. The authors have designed a new system that supports functions to group computers and manage the groups. The group is called a cluster and groups that are constructed by various criteria are managed on multiple layers. The proposed system achieved that path length of data transfer was shortened or search packets were reduced. In addition, a prototype system, which was based on the proposed design, were implemented and could be deployed on an actual network.

提案したシステムを採用することによって,ネットワーク上でのデータ転送回数や検索情報の交換回数を削減することができる.これにより,コンピュータやネットワークかかる負荷を軽減でき,想定するシステムを稼働させながらより多くの用途のためにネットワークを活用できるようになる.また,提案システムの基盤となるソフトウェアを,汎用的なソフトウェアの提供する機能を前提として実装することで,提案システムそのものの実装やそれを拡張した別のシステムの実装が容易に行えるようにした.
