| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
My research impact as a scholar has four pillars: scholar output, policy output, 1.5 track diplomacy, and public intellectualism. I have organized and participated in a series of academic and 1.5 track diplomacy conferences in Japan, Australia, the U.S. and Canada. These activities have translated into two refereed booked chapters, one policy brief for the Hudson Institute, invitations to speak at think tanks in Canada, the U.S., China and Japan. Moreover, I have used this professional knowledge to write as a public intellectual in an effort to translate research into easy to understand opinion pieces in major dailies in Japan, Canada, etc so citizens can better informed about important foreign policy issues.
