Research Abstract

溶血活性を有するレクチンCEL-IIIについて、バキュロウイルス-昆虫細胞発現系を利用して可溶性状態での機能的発現に成功した。次に、CEL-IIIの5つの糖結合部位のうち、それぞれ1つに変異を導入することによってその部位の糖結合能が消失した5種のCEL-III変異体を作製し、それらの溶血活性測定と糖結合における速度論的解析を行って、CEL-IIIの溶血活性発現に強く関与する領域を推定する事が出来た。
