| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We completed the collection of data on healthy subjects for the comprehensive language test (sentence comprehension, monomora and word auditory comprehension, noun and action naming, explanation of comic strips, repetition, reading aloud and writing). The subjects were 278 children aged 4 to 17 years and 164 adults. In most of the assignments, a ceiling effect was observed at the elementary school level. Errors occurred in auditory comprehension and reading comprehension of sentences in the stirring word order task of binomial and ternary transitive verb sentences even in healthy adults. In the explanation of comic strips, we proceeded with lexeme analysis of the total number of words and parts of speech of each word. In auditory comprehension of words, a imageability effect was observed in the lower grades of elementary school. In word reading comprehension, the lower grades of elementary school showed higher grades in kanji reading comprehension than in katakana and hiragana.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究で作成される検査は、児童、生徒、青年、高齢者に対応できる包括的な検査を作成する点において、本邦初であるばかりでなく、世界でも稀である。課題間で異なる刺激を用いても単語属性値が近似する単語を選択し課題間の難易度を統制できるようになる。さらに、指導やリハビリテーションにおいて使用頻度や心像性の高い単語を選択することにより、実用性があり容易な課題から難度の高い課題へと教材作成が可能である。多数の臨床家が評価できる実用的な検査となり、小児の失読失書、失語、発達性読み書き障害、特異的言語障害の診断評価が可能になる。一方、成人失語症例や、認知症の病態を詳細に分析することが可能になる。
