Research Abstract

被子植物シロイヌナズナの葉緑体光定位運動の解析から、葉緑体には特異的なアクチンフィラメントが存在し、これが葉緑体の細胞内での運動、光定位の分子メカニズムとして働くことが明らかになっている。本研究ではコケ植物のヒメツリガネゴケ、ゼニゴケの葉緑体光定位運動を解析し、系統進化的に離れた蘚類、苔類の細胞においても被子植物と共通した葉緑体アクチンによるメカニズムが存在していること、しかし、葉緑体アクチンフィラメントの形態・機能等、異なる面を持ち、多様性を示すことを明らかにした。
