Research Abstract

生殖細胞の形成機構の普遍性と多様性-すなわちその進化-を理解するために,モデル生物ショウジョウバエでこの過程に働く遺伝子をゲノムワイドに同定し,他の生物種との比較を行った.まず,マイクロアレイを利用してショウジョウバエ生殖細胞の詳細な遺伝子発現プロファイルを得た.次に生殖細胞形成に関わる遺伝子群を他の昆虫と比較したところ,その多くは昆虫の間で保存されているが,ショウジョウバエ特異的な遺伝子(oskarなど)やnanos, vasaの種特異的な遺伝子重複(アブラムシ,カイコ)が明らかになった.
