Outline of Research at the Start |

Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The high acceleration fields of up to 1.0 × 106 G level in the high-temperature ultracentrifuge act on each atom as a mass-dependent volumetric force and induce sedimentation, diffusion, and structural changes in the material. High acceleration fields at 1.0 × 106 G level induce nanoscale inhomogeneous structural distortions within solid materials, but the inhomogeneous regions introduced are not well understood. In this study, we introduced ultracentrifuge-induced structural distortions in solid materials and evaluated the inhomogeneity and structure of the materials.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
