Research Abstract |
I investigated a technique and the tool which produced them from a trace at the time of production left to a metal product(swords and armors, harness, accessories) of KOFUN age. I applied X-rays CT scanning and a three-dimensional measurement, the method of the natural science such as the ingredient analysis of materials, microscopy. As a result, through the reconstruction of the production process of the earring, I was able to elucidate a used tool and method. In addition, I was able to estimate the size of the chisel edge used from the trace that cut a board left for the iron such as armors.
