Research Abstract |
The U.S. Library of Congress is the repository Japanese textbooks. Most of them were textbooks used from 1941 to 1945. There include : 1) textbooks blackened lines out or slash marks drawn directly over and 2) textbooks with many notes by written-in English 'militarism on the tags or slips were inserted or pasted. These blacken-out textbooks no longer existed to be revised when the new version were published The purpose of this research is to clarify, 1) what parts of textbooks were blackened out?, 2)why were those parts not taught?, 3) who decided on what was to blacken out?. For clear the these problems ,This research make a list of the textbooks.
