Research Abstract

We analyzed the effect of naturally occurring regulatory T cells (nTregs) and induced regulatory T cells (iTregs) in allergic airway inflammation using gene-modified mice. Antigen specific iTregs were induced by airway inflammation, whereas airway inflammation was not changed by iTregs. On the other hand, the transfer of antigen-specific nTregs did not affect airway inflammation.
