Outline of Research at the Start

(1)シミュレーションにより特徴的な漸近挙動をもつ3状態3近傍CAを選び出し,そのようなCAの局所遷移関数の有理多項式表現を用いて漸近挙動の理論解析を行う.そのためにはまずファジー化した3状態3近傍CAの漸近挙動の理論解析を行い,それがもとのCAの挙動にどのように反映されるかを調べる.
(2)ファジー化された3状態3近傍CAのなかで,一般加重平均型と呼ばれるCAに注目し,その漸近挙動を理論的に解析する.
(1)と(2)で取り上げた3状態3近傍CAにおいて高次保存則の存在を調べ,高次保存則が漸近挙動に果たす役割を検証する.また高次保存則を用いてメタ安定分岐などの理論的解明を図る.

Outline of Final Research Achievements

We defined a class called generalized weighted average type (GWCA) for three-state three-neighborhood fuzzy CA. In the case of two states (ECA case), if the cell values are taken as scalars 0 and 1, fuzzified CA is defined by expanding the cell values to a one-dimensional closed interval, but to fuzzify three-state CA, the cell values are taken as three-dimensional vectors, so when defining GWCA, there is the freedom of action of a third-order symmetric group that exchanges components before taking the weighted average. In this study, we investigated in detail the asymptotic behavior of three-state three-neighborhood fuzzy GWCA, showing that they all asymptotically converge to periodic patterns in time and space, and clarifying the relationship between these periodic patterns and the action of a third-order symmetric group.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

CAは非常に単純な構造を持つ力学系であるにも関わらず,その漸近的な振る舞いの研究はコンピュータシミュレーションによるものが主流であった.WolframによるECAbnoのI類からⅣ塁への分類もその延長線上にある.その大きな理由の一つとしてCAが離散の状態をとる力学系であることがあげられる.CAのファジー化により,CAのとる値が連続化されると,解析的ンな手法でCAの漸近的な振る舞いを調べることができる,我々の研究の主たる結果は3状態3近傍CAのファジー化とその漸近的な振る舞いの研究であり,様々なCAの力学系としての理論的な研究の第1歩であると考えている.
