| Research Abstract |
Purpose :To confirm the utility of the action research for child abuse prevention by using newly developed PACAP and USDT. Method:(1)Based on the Cycle Model, all pre-school children, their parents in island K and multiple health-related professionals participated in the action research. PACAP was administered to parents and USDT to those children who were suspected of maltreatment. (2)Experimental group work with heterogeneous parents was carried out by a facilitator to let them learn the “parents’ role” . Results: (1)The response rate of PACAP was 90.9%, in that 4.8%(24) of risk cases and 95.2%(476) of normal were identified by PACAP and USDT, so that the Cycle Model and newly developed pre-assessments tools were confirmed to be effective for child abuse prevention. (2)Experimental group work of parents was useful to change their attitude.
