We generated the medaka lacking cyp1a gene by TILLING. RT-PCR, Western blot analysis, and EROD (ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase) assay revealed that the CYP1A activity was completely abrogated in these mutants. The cyp1a-deficient medaka died when exposed
