Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The contents implemented during the study period were discussions regarding women working at NPOs in the U.S., interview surveys for women working at NPOs and the like in Japan which aim for social contributions, literature studies on women’s labor, and questionnaire researches of women working at incorporated NPOs. The followings are the primary points that have been found out as the result of the study: (1) There are women also in Japan working at NPOs, etc. which aim for social contributions and obtaining certain amount of incomes; (2) Not only middle-aged and older women but also women in their 20’s and 30’s are working at NPOs and equivalents; (3) Referrals from acquaintances as well as media for job information, etc. are utilized for finding jobs at NPOs; and (4) While they find their jobs rewarding, their satisfaction levels of incomes and working hours are not quite high.
