Outline of Final Research Achievements |
IL-1 plays important role in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis or other sterile inflammation. IL-1 activation is mediated by inflammasome activation. We have developed an cell based assay to visualize inflammasome activation. By utilizing a genome-wide expression library, we identified several genes that activate or suppress inflammasome activation.
