Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The Descriptive Poesy that developed in the second half of the Eighteenth Century of France, chants not only divers aspects of natural beings, but also various emotional experiences of human beings who live in the nature. This research revealed the influences of natural history works in the transformation of the nature description. It also examined the relations between the anthropology of Saint-Lambert and the works of Rousseau or Diderot, or the relations between The Seasons and the Encyclopedie. In this way, it insisted on the necessity to reevaluate the Descriptive Poesy, the genre that was neglected a long time.
