Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Organizing support systems for students with developmental disorder is one of the most important problems for institutions of higher education in Japan. In this study, we conducted survey research on two types of groups. In the first survey, the subject were university counselors and we collected data of their work experience and carried out questionnaire survey about the difficulties related to their practices. In the second, we carried out questionnaire survey about faculties' attitudes toward reasonable accommodations. The finding suggests three challenges in the fields: (1)improving a system for reasonable accommodation in each institution, (2)working in close cooperation between counselors and teachers, and (3)expanding support activities for preparing the students' obtaining employment.
