研究成果の概要

始原物質はコンドリュールとマトリックスから構成される。その起源は、太陽系の起源を探る上で、最重要テーマと位置付けられる。研究代表者らは、減圧制御炉を用い、コンドリュールの再現実験に成功した。再現実験の解析結果は、コンドリュールとマトリックスの同時形成を示唆している。本研究課題では、試料を用いた同位体分析を計画した。測定手法を確立したが、現段階では、データ取得に至ってない。予測される実験結果を用いたモデル化を行なった。コンドリュールとマトリックスを生成した熱源については、原始太陽風の衝撃加熱が考えられる。

研究成果の学術的意義や社会的意義

新たな実験装置を用いてコンドリュールの合成に成功した。この結果に基づき、新規なコンドリュール形成モデルを提出した。この内容は、国際誌に発表するとともに隕石学会の実験関連のワークショップや国際シンポジウムで講演を行い、国内外で積極的に成果を示した。同位体分析については引き続き今後の課題となったが、こうした研究に重要であることを示した。太陽系の起源に関する物質化学的研究の重要性を示したことは社会的意義があると考える。
