研究成果の概要

元素組成比の質量数130と195にあるピークは中性子星合体等で起こる速い中性子捕獲過程(rプロセス)が起源と考えられている。本研究ではピーク形成に重要な130Sn(n,γ)131Sn反応率を導出するため、130Sn(d,p)131Sn反応を逆運動学で測定する実験を行う。実験装置を整備し、テスト実験により性能の評価を行った。実験準備は研究期間内に行ったが、実験は研究期間終了後の2022年4月に実施した。現在、データ解析を進めている。

研究成果の学術的意義や社会的意義

(d,p)反応は核構造研究に有力な道具であることが知られている。しかし、重い不安定核ビームを用いた逆運動学での測定では十分な励起エネルギー分解能と十分な統計精度を両立させることが難しかった。本研究では、理化学研究所RIビームファクトリーで作られた高輝度の中性子過剰核(130Sn)ビームを使うことで、十分な分解能と統計精度での測定が可能になる。rプロセスの質量数130のピーク周辺のrプロセスの流れについて議論できると期待する。
