研究概要

本研究では細胞増殖を負に制御する因子の機能解析を行ない、植物の幹細胞を維持する分子機構の解明を目指した。その結果、分裂組織において表皮から内側の細胞層に向けて作用する極長鎖脂肪酸由来のシグナルが存在し、これが幹細胞集団の細胞分裂を抑制することが明らかになった。また、分裂組織における細胞分裂をモニタリングするために、CDT1aのプロモーターにC末側のコード領域を繋いだ改変遺伝子がS期特異的マーカーとして有効であることが明らかになった
