研究概要

我々はCaMKIIを自己リン酸化させるとアクチンとの相互作用低下することを見いだし、それがアクチン結合領域に存在する多くのセリンとスレオニンの自己リン酸化によることを見いだした。CaMKIIは神経活動が基底状態下でactinを束化しているが、活性化によりF-actinから遊離し、それによりactinが修飾され、構造可塑性が引き起こされると考えられた。これらの事実はCaMKIIが構造可塑性のゲートとして機能していることを示唆する。
