研究概要

地震現象を臨界現象(2次相転移)として短期的に捉えるための新しい時間概念(Natural Time)による時系列解析法によるギリシャでの短期地震予知を検討しEosに出版するとともに、同法を2000年伊豆諸島の群発活動に応用し、その成果はJ.Geophys.Res.に出版された。有意義なSESデータの得られている神津島の地下電気構造の野外調査を行い、Proc.Japan Acad.に出版した。
