研究概要

データ・マイニングを用いて、C型肝炎の治療効果と関連する因子を検討したところ、肝臓の脂肪化や血糖値が高い症例では治療効果が得られにくかった。ウイルスの遺伝子を調べることで、治療効果が期待できる症例を治療開始前に同定することができた。患者のIL28B遺伝子を調べることでウイルスが消えない確率が高い症例を同定できた。ウイルスが消えた後に治療終了後に再出現するリスクは、ウイルス遺伝子を調べることで予測できた。
