時間遅れをもつSIR感染症モデルの安定性解析の研究を解決したMcCluskey(2010)論文の手法を、SIRS感染症モデルに応用し、当初は摂動法的に、ついで、Lyapunov関数法を拡張し、免疫消失項が比較的小さい場合の病理平衡点の大域漸近安定となる十分条件を得た。更に、グループSIRモデルへ応用し、グラフ理論を使わない簡単な方法も考案した。一方、Xu and Ma(2010)論文の単調法を改良する事により、免疫消失項が大きい場合の病理平衡点の大域漸近安定となる十分条件を大幅に拡張した。この単調法による解析手法は、Lyapunov関数法と異なる解析手法であり、今後の応用が期待できる。さらに、当時オープン問題となっていた、連続感染症モデルから、如何にして、大域漸近安定となる離散モデルを見つけるかという問題を、後退オイラー法をベースにした離散モデルへの自然な拡張法を見つけ、解決した。また、パーマネンスの解の正の下界を求める手法を発展させ、それをグループモデルにも拡張できる手法を開発した。
