高病原性新型インフルエンザウイルス感染症の比較病理および感染モデル動物の開発

研究概要

タイで発生したH5N1自然感染トラとネコの剖検例を病理学的に観察した。本症例は、H5N1に感染した生鶏肉と鳩を食べて感染したものであることが推察されている。感染動物では、高熱と高度の呼吸障害をきたし、死亡している。剖検により、全身臓器に重度の出血性病変が観察された他、免疫染色にてインフルエンザAウイルス抗原が検出できた。更に、肺組織からはウイルス遺伝子が分離され、タイでヒト患者から分離されたH5N1と同じ遺伝子構造を示した。
