研究概要

我々は、マウスの膵癌細胞(TGP-49)やヒト肝がん細胞(HepG2)を用いた実験で、RNAiの手法を用いることによりフコース転移酵素VIII(FUT8)遺伝子をノックダウンさせ、TGP-49やHepG2の増殖が抑制されることを見出している。本研究で、この方法を乳がん細胞(MCF-7)に応用し、FUT8遺伝子をノックダウンさせることにより乳がん細胞の増殖抑制が可能であるかどうかを検証し、予想通りMCF-7の増殖が抑制されることを確認できた。
