研究概要

本研究では、自己免疫疾患発症に関与するIL-21の産生制御機構を解析し、転写因子c-MafがIL-21のプロモーターおよびエンハンサー領域に結合することにより、IL-21の産生を誘導することを明らかにした。さらに抑制性副刺激分子BTLAが、生体内での主要なIL-21産生細胞である濾胞ヘルパーT細胞(Tfh細胞)に高発現し、Tfh細胞からのIL-21産生を抑制し、IL-21依存性の液性免疫を抑制していることを明らかにした。
