研究成果の概要

MEMS構造による絶対波長安定化（アサーマル）面発光レーザ，光群速度低下させて素子サイズを大幅に小型化して高速化を図るスローライト光デバイスの開拓とその集積化を進め，アサーマル面発光レーザによる30nmにわたる波長可変動作，面発光レーザ構造を基軸とした超小型スローライト光スイッチ・光変調器，解像点数1000を越える超高解像ビーム掃引デバイスなどを実現した．また，スローライト伝搬を利用した結合共振器面発光レーザと光変調器集積光源により，30GHzを越える高速変調動作を実現し，高速化と低消費電力化の両立を実現した．さらに，超多ポート波長選択スイッチの実現など新たな集積フォトニクスの可能性を示した．
