研究成果の概要

当該研究では，代数的サイクルに関連する諸問題を多角的かつ有機的に究する．代数的サイクルとはスキーム上の既約閉部分スキームの整数係数の有限和である．この全体のなす群を有理同値で割った群はChow群と呼ばれる．Chow群の研究の歴史は長く，その重要性は代数幾何のみならず整数論においても深く認識されている．たとえば，19世紀の複素関数論の重要な研究対象であったリーマン面の因子類群や，整数論の重要な研究対象である代数体のイデアル類群はChow群の一種である．当該研究では，以上の背景のもとで，高次元類体論，高次元Hasse原理，モチフィックコホモロジーの有限性予想を研究し成果を挙げた．
