腸内細菌制御による炎症性腸疾患治療への応用

研究概要

炎症性腸疾患の発症・増悪に腸内細菌叢の異常が関与していることが強く示唆されている。本研究では制御性T 細胞(Treg 細胞)を誘導する腸内細菌に焦点を当て研究を行った。ヒト便から細菌を単離しTreg 細胞の誘導能を持つ細菌の同定を行った結果、マウスの腸内細菌と同様にクロストリジウム属細菌が強い誘導能を持っていることが明らかになった。また、SPF マウスにヒト便から単離したクロストリジウム属細菌を投与するとアレルギー性の下痢を抑制する効果を持っていることがわかり、治療への応用が期待される。
