研究成果の概要

ミンコフスキー時空内の世界面に付随する焦点集合の特異点を記述する為の幾何学的枠組みを構成し、３次元ミンコフスキー時空の場合にその特異点の分類を実行した。その結果、従来から知られているユークリッド空間内の曲面の焦点集合の特異点の分類結果とは異なることが解った。この世界面に付随する焦点集合は理論物理における「多元宇宙」モデルの境界と考えることが出来る。
