本研究課題では、符号理論を用いる暗号プロトコルについて以下2点の重要な研究成果が得られた:1) 符号理論に基づく耐量子暗号プロトコルは量子コンピュータに対する攻撃に対しても安全性がある。そのプロトコルでは、世界初の平文知識証明プロトコルを発表した。それを応用して、世界初の検証可能な暗号化、および指名した確認者署名を発表した。2)秘密分散法とは秘密情報データを分ける、“シェア”することでライバシーを保護できる情報セキュリティ技術である。この技術において、rushing不正者に対して安全な、同タイプの手法の中では現在最小シェアサイズを実現する新たな不正者を検知可能な秘密分散法を発表した。
